PORTABLE PAINT BOOTHS

Containerized Paint Booth Systems for Flexible Painting Operations

VES Containerized Paint Booths transform shipping containers into self-contained painting environments designed for portable, temporary, or space-conscious applications.

Available in 20-foot and 40-foot configurations, these systems provide a flexible solution for military, industrial, maintenance, manufacturing, and field painting operations.

PORTABLE CONFIGURATION

Containerized construction provides greater flexibility for temporary, supplemental, and field painting operations.

CONTROLLED AIRFLOW

Semi-downflow ventilation introduces clean air through the upper portion of the booth while exhaust airflow removes overspray from the work area.

INDUSTRIAL  FILTRATION

Multi-stage filtration helps capture paint overspray and maintain proper booth exhaust performance. VES documentation also identifies NESHAP 319 three-stage filtration as an available feature of the containerized systems.

INTEGRATED CONTROLS

Ergonomic layouts and smart design help streamline workflow and improve productivity.

APACHE 40'

For applications requiring additional working length, VES offers a 40-foot Containerized Paint Booth configuration.

VES Part Number:

CP-APACHE-40

The larger platform provides additional usable booth space while maintaining the portability and flexibility of the containerized paint booth concept.

Engineered Airflow for Painting Operations

VES Containerized Paint Booths use a semi-downflow design, introducing clean intake air through the upper portion of the container while the exhaust system pulls overspray away from the painting area.

The Cobra 20' system utilizes a 24-inch, six-blade exhaust fan rated at 7,000 CFM at ½-inch static pressure. The belt-driven tube-axial fan uses non-sparking polypropylene blades, with the motor, drives, and bearings isolated from the air stream.

High-Efficiency Overspray Filtration

The Cobra 20' exhaust system includes sixteen 20" × 20" exhaust cells equipped with fiberglass paint arrestors providing greater than 98% efficiency.

VES containerized paint booth configurations are also available with NESHAP 319 three-stage filtration.

The filtration system works with the booth ventilation system to capture overspray before exhausted air leaves the booth.

Heated Air Make-Up & Curing Capability

For applications requiring temperature-controlled airflow or accelerated curing, the Cobra system can be equipped with a direct-fired air make-up unit.

  • Rapid booth temperature rise of up to 80°F above a 0°F ambient condition
  • Digital temperature controls and modulating gas valve
  • Power Flame gun-type burner rated at 1,075,000 BTU
  • Fueled by natural gas or propane
  • Low-NOx burner option available when required
  • AMU can be configured beside or behind the booth, mounted above, installed outside a building and ducted to the booth, or configured based on facility requirements
  • Includes prefilter box with polyester intake panel filters, high-temperature limit switch, airflow switch, service disconnect, and AMU support platform

Integrated Controls

The booth's integrated control panel gives operators centralized control of the paint system.

Controls can provide:

  • Off mode
  • Paint mode
  • Cure mode, if equipped
  • Digital temperature control
  • Burner controls
  • Motor protection and control
  • System monitoring

The Cobra control system includes Eaton Cutler-Hammer motor protection and control devices.
